Preschool Philosophy

Sandy Plains Baptist Weekday Preschool, established in 1969, strives to meet the needs of families in our community by providing a safe, Christian environment. Sandy Plains Baptist Preschool welcomes children of any race, color, nationality, ethnic origin and religion.

Our goal for the children is to help them develop socially, physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually. An experienced teaching staff gives attention to the needs of each child.

our curriculum

Our program is based on the Christian WEE Learn, Clubhouse Kids and Scholastic curriculums. Activities and stories in a classroom relate to their weekly theme. We have a wide variety of fun educational materials and toys, including over 2000 books, to make each day an exciting learning experience.

We encourage growth in socials skills, self-help skills, following directions, completing tasks, making choices, etc. We offer "academics" but in meaningful and fun ways, as we recognize that children learn best through play. The GA Early Learning and Development Standards are used in  planning developmentally appropriate activities.
